If you are building a new structure or adding to a existing one, Title 24, Part 6 of the California Code of Regulations, or California's Energy Efficiency Standards for Residential and Nonresidential Buildings, impacts you. The Energy Efficiency Standards for Residential and Nonresidential Buildings were established in 1978 in response to a legislative mandate to reduce California's energy consumption. The standards are updated periodically to allow consideration and possible incorporation of new energy efficiency technologies and methods. And we keep up with any changes to be sure you are in compliance with the current regulations.

New standards were adopted by the California Energy Commission in 2001, and again in 2005, with a revision in 2006. The commission is working on the 2008 update. Since you have an interest in these standards, you might consider providing your input to the process. How? Attend a public workshop, keep up on the revisions as they are developed, and prvide your input to the commission. You can find out all about it here.

We can help you with your need for Title 24 compliance. That's what this site is all about. We can provide resources to help you learn more about the standards, and we can help you be sure that your plans are in compliance with the standards. To order compliance reports, click here.
